The fastest way to get to Isla Colón.

If you’re traveling by land from Chiriquí, Central Provinces, or Panama City, this is the most convenient route for you. The route from Chiriquí Grande to Isla Colón used to be operated by ferry over 20 years ago, before the construction of the road connecting Chiriquí Grande to Changuinola. However, reaching Isla Colón was a slow and prolonged process.

About two years ago, Panabocas Express decided to resume this route using speedboats, making it the only company to offer this service. This allows you to reach Isla Colón from Chiriquí Grande in just 60 minutes. This saves you at least an hour and a half of travel time and avoids the wear and tear of your car on a very deteriorated road, such as the connection between Chiriquí Grande and Almirante.

This route starts upon arrival at our offices and boarding point at least 25 minutes before the selected departure time. You can purchase your travel ticket right there, provided there is availability at that time. We recommend making a prior reservation through our website. If you arrive and there are no available seats, you can purchase tickets for the next available departure.

In addition to being faster, this route offers beautiful landscapes, with two intermediate stops at Loma Partida and Cerro Brujo, true paradises. You can purchase a ticket to stay at either of these two points.

We have a 24-hour monitored parking area where you can safely park your vehicle while enjoying your visit to the island
